Basic Photography Level 1

1-day class, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm – € 130

This 1-day class held in English is designed for absolute beginners (adults and teenagers) who want to learn the basic aspects of photography, both film or digital. After a description of how the camera works and the differences between analog and digital photography, participants will focus on exposure (aperture, shutter speed & ISO), depth of field, and composition. Topics like shooting portraits in natural light, landscape and the use of flash are also covered. During the day students will work on different assignments and will have their work critiqued.
Equipment needed: DSRL Camera, manual of the camera, laptop

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Barbara Balzaretti was born and raised in Milan, Italy. After graduating from I.U.L.M. University in Milan, she moved to New York to study photojournalism at I.C.P. From there, she has worked as a freelance photographer and photo editor for some of the top New York City photo agencies as well as worked with many international photographers. She now lives in Finland, and is the founder and director of the International Photo Center
