6-week course, Tuesdays from 3 pm to 5 pm – € 160
This unique course held in English is designed for kids who want to develop their imagination and creativity through photography and it aims to help them open their eyes to the world around them. While developing and practicing their English, kids will cover all the camera basics (how to hold it, what all the buttons are, how it works, etc) and will immediately start shooting: people, toys, nature, animals, etc. Music, films and other forms of art will be used to bring additional ideas to their work. Topics like composition, lighting and presentation are also covered.
Equipment needed: digital SRL camera or point-and-shoot camera that can be used in manual mode, manual of the camera
Prerequisites: a little knowledge of English

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Barbara Balzaretti was born and raised in Milan, Italy. After graduating from University, she moved to New York City to study photojournalism at I.C.P. From there, she has worked as a freelance photographer and photo editor for some of the top New York City photo agencies as well as worked with many international photographers. She now lives in Finland, and is the founder and director of the International Photo Center
